Microflotation of Fine Rutile and Garnet with Different Particle Size Fractions

In this paper, −10 μm rutile and −30 garnet particles were selected as samples. The effects of different reagents on the flotation single minerals studied, mechanism was analyzed by contact angle, zeta potential, Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) measurements. results show that an optimal recovery is obtained with benzohydroxamic acid (BHA) collector for sodium silicofluoride (SSF) inhibitor garnet. Even BHA having a good collecting performance both garnet, there are still some differences. greatly improves hydrophobicity changes chemical environment but not SSF significantly reduces slightly affects in which interacts rutile.
